Germanium (GE) windows is a parallel plane plate, which is usually used as a protective window for electronic sensors or detectors in the external environment. When selecting a window, attention should be paid to the material, transmittance, transmission band, surface shape, finish, parallelism and other parameters of the window slice.
Infrared ultraviolet window slice is a kind of window slice designed for infrared or ultraviolet spectrum. The window slice is designed to prevent electronic sensors, detectors or other sensitive optical elements from being saturated or light damage.
Germanium is a commonly used optical glass material in the infrared band, with a transmission band of 2.0-16 μm. It has the characteristics of high refractive index and high Knoop hardness. Germanium is inert to air, water, acid, alkali, etc. it can be used for thermal imaging and infrared imaging in harsh environments
We provide flat windows with non coated and antireflective germanium substrates, and IR2 8-12μm with double-sided antireflection Antireflective film window slice. We can also customize germanium windows according to your requirements.
